Sere Kaniye, Syria – On Wednesday, two car bomb attacks hit a checkpoint of the Kurdish security forces (Asayish) in Oum ad-Dibis village (15 km southwest of Sere Kaniye “Ras al-Ain”) in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
Speaking to ARA News, a Kurdish security member of the Asayish said that the two cars targeted a checkpoint located on the junction of the village of Oum ad-Dibis.
ARA News could not verify the number of casualties in the attack.
“Dew civilians were among the casualties due to the explosion,” locals told ARA News.
Last month, militants of the Islamic State group (IS/ISIS) carried out a similar attack, causing the death of six members of the Asayish forces.
The Asayish forces were repeatedly subjected to suicide attacks in Hasakah province during the past three years.
